Park & Ride: cheap parking for Südtirol Pass holders

Great rates for train commuters in Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico/Bruneck

The car parking spaces at the train stations of Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico/Bruneck will be subject to a charge in future: Bressanone/Brixen from 1 July, Brunico/Bruneck at a later date for technical reasons. The good news: Südtirol Pass holders commuting by train can park free of charge.

At the new Mobility Centres in Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico/Bruneck, parking was designed with a prime focus on train passengers – and on providing the most favourable conditions possible for commuters in particular. Which is why from 1 July 2022, the following discounts will apply to all Südtirol Pass holders: If you park your vehicle at either of those stations and take a regional train from there, you can park for only a small fee – and if you return to that station on a regional train that same day, parking is completely free of charge. The same applies to commuters who only park their cars during the night.

Plus, you can conveniently use your Südtirol Pass to pay and to open the barrier when entering and leaving the station: Simply hold your ticket in front of the reader.

Parking fees: rules for Südtirol Pass holders

The idea is simple: For Südtirol Pass holders, parking costs a maximum of 6 EUR per day. If you use your Südtirol Pass to check in on a regional train that day, parking only costs 3 EUR per day. And if you use your Südtirol Pass to pay for a return journey on a regional train that same day, parking costs nothing at all. In any case, Südtirol Pass holders are guaranteed to always pay the lowest possible rate; for shorter parking times, that can also mean the standard hourly rate.

No parking discounts are available for journeys made on a regional, urban or Citybus service.

Here’s how to do it

If you’d like to use your Südtirol Pass or Euregio Family Pass to pay for parking at Bressanone/Brixen or Brunico/Bruneck train station, simply activate the Park & Ride package in your online user account within the Südtirol Pass portal. The only prerequisite is a post-paid contract using SEPA Direct Debit. Südtirol Pass holders with a pre-paid contract can change their payment preferences any time with just a few clicks in their user account.

Südtirol Pass abo+ and Südtirol Pass 65+ holders, too, can add the Park & Ride option – provided that they have a post-paid contract and activated the option to pay for additional services.

Passengers travelling on a Südtirol Pass free can contact their local police station to apply for a parking permit.
