Last December, no timetable booklets were printed due to the need to incorporate updates and changes to bus and rail traffic on a rolling basis because of the Coronavirus pandemic. But now they’re back: Bundled by region, district-based timetable guides will soon be available again free of charge throughout the different parts of South Tyrol, and from mid-March in the Pusteria/Pustertal valley.
On our website and in our smartphone app, the same information is available at the touch of a button and always up-to-date – but many passengers, it turns out, are reluctant to give up their much-loved timetable booklets just yet. So you spoke, and we listened! Which is why südtirolmobil is bringing back printed timetable guides, conveniently bundled into pocket-sized booklets separated by districts.
Print-issues of our large-scale, book-format timetable guide covering an entire year’s worth of buses and trains all over South Tyrol will however remain on hold until further notice. Instead, our much-anticipated timetable booklets are now available once more, with each issue covering a separate topic from the different sections of South Tyrol to SASA-operated urban buses in Bolzano/Bozen or Merano/Meran and all the way to train schedules.
Anyone interested can pick up a copy from all südtirolmobil Infopoints and ticket offices, from train stations and tourist offices as well as from any branch office of Cassa di Risparmio/Südtiroler Sparkasse or Banca Popolare dell’Alto Adige/Südtiroler Volksbank. We’ve even managed to enlist the help of the local KVW offices (Katholischer Verband der Werktätigen) and the senior citizens’ association of Unione Agricoltori e Coltivatori Diretti Sudtirolesi/Südtiroler Bauernbund. Both will assist us in distributing the booklets. All issues will also be available from the Infopoint at Bolzano/Bozen bus station, the offices of the South Tyrol Department of Passenger Transport, the Bressanone/Brixen Infopoint Mobile and Merano/Meran train station.
In the Pusteria/Pustertal valley, the booklets will be available from mid-March, since the timetables there have had to be amended several times following the reopening of the railway line in mid-February.
Please note that bus services that only operate on school days are not included in the booklets, as they may change at short notice in line with the regulations to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Separate timetables covering school-run bus journeys can be found online and downloaded in PDF format from our website and in the südtirolmobil app.
