On Sunday, 1st March 2026, the Bolzano–Merano railway line will be temporarily closed from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for inspection and routine maintenance work scheduled by the infrastructure manager, RFI.
Travel information: The Trenitalia train will depart from Meran/Merano at 6:52 a.m., 20 minutes earlier than the usual timetable. From Bozen/Bolzano, however, the departure time remains unchanged.
Replacement bus service
The following two replacement buses will serve the route during the rail service disruption:
- The B200 Express Bus departs from Bozen/Bolzano (platform B in G.-Garibaldi-Straße/via G. Garibaldi) and arrives directly in Meran/Merano (platform B, near the underpass), travelling via the MeBo without any intermediate stops. Standing is not permitted as the bus is travelling on the highway.
- The replacement bus, the B200, runs along the Meran/Merano–Bozen/Bolzano railway line, stopping at all intermediate stations. Replacement buses do not serve the Bozen Süd/Bolzano Sud and Bozen Kaiserau/Bolzano Casanova stops. In Siebeneich/Settequerce, the replacement buses stop at the “Schule/Scuola” bus stop. In Gargazon/Gargazzone, the stop is called “Dorf/Paese”.
