Rail replacement services

There will be replacement bus services for both regional (Bolzano/Bozen – Trento: B100) and long-distance traffic (Bolzano/Bozen – Innsbruck: ÖBB SV300). Please note that it is not possible to transport bicycles on these services. The replacement buses depart at different times than the trains and may have significantly longer journey times.

Please note that between Bolzano/Bozen and Trento, these services do not call at any of the train stations but instead at the main bus stops of each city, town or village along the route.

Tickets

Regional traffic: Please note that buses replacing regional rail services do not stop at train stations between Bolzano/Bozen and Trento and are not equipped with ticket validation machines. Checking in to validate and use your ticket is therefore neither possible at a train station nor on the bus itself.

Online tickets can be checked in using the südtirolmobil app. Alternatively, passengers can buy a single ticket ahead of their journey.

Tickets with a pre-paid flat fare – e.g. Südtirol Pass abo+, Südtirol Pass 65+ and Mobilcard subscriptions – as well as GuestCards are valid without checking in and simply need to be shown upon request.

Between Trento, Lavis and Mezzocorona, südtirolmobil and Trenitalia customers may also use the Trento-Malè train line.

Long-distance services: Between Fortezza/Franzensfeste and Bolzano/Bozen, Eurocity (EC) passengers may use regional trains without any price difference.

We recommend that all passengers plan thoroughly before starting their journey and take note of the replacement bus departure times.
