Upper Puster Valley: temporary closure of the railway line

On Sunday, 21^st September 2025, the railway line in the Upper Puster Valley in the Bruneck/Brunico-Innichen/San Candido-Sillian section will be temporarily closed to traffic. The disruption has been scheduled by the infrastructure manager RFI to allow routine inspection and maintenance work to be carried out. 

Overview of service interruption times

• from 7:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. between Bruneck/Brunico and Innichen/San Candido 
• from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. between Innichen/San Candido and Sillian  

Replacement bus service

A replacement bus service will be provided along the route with the following timetable:

• Replacement buses on line B500 will run every 30 minutes between Bruneck/Brunico station (departing from bus platform C) and Innichen/San Candido station.
• Replacement buses on line SEV223 will run hourly between Innichen/San Candido and Sillian.

Innichen/San Candido station will be regularly served by the replacement buses despite the car-free day, ensuring full access to public transport without any restrictions.

Bike transport: Not allowed on replacement buses.
