The infrastructure manager RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) has planned for this summer extensive work on the Bozen/Bolzano-Meran/Merano line to install the European Train Control System (ETCS), a project that began last year. In addition, the platform at track 1A (the terminal track) at Bozen/Bolzano station will be partially raised.
This type of work will require the Bozen/Bolzano-Meran/Merano railway line to be completely closed between Sunday, 15 June and Saturday, 9 August 2025.
