Explore the Vinschgau/Venosta Valley at your own pace by bike

For combined trips by train, bus, and bike along the Vinschgau railway, the BikeLiner shuttle for cyclists will be available from June 28 to October 25, 2025. Since bicycle transport on the Vinschgau rail line is currently limited, BikeLiner offers a comfortable and reliable alternative for all bike lovers.

BikeLiner Schedule & Route

The shuttle operates daily on the Meran/Merano – Mals/Malles route, departing from Meran/Merano station, platform B (at the bike-sharing area) at the following times:

• Morning: 9:10 AM and 10:10 AM
• Afternoon: 3:10 PM and 4:10 PM

The bus only stops for drop-offs at Naturns/Naturno, Latsch/Laces, Schalnders/Silandro, Spondinig/Spondigna, and Mals/Malles. Boarding en route is not allowed.

Which bikes are allowed?

Allowed: regular bicycles and e-bikes. Not allowed: tandems, cargo bikes, and bike trailers due to cart capacity and safety constraints.

How to reserve your spot

Seats are assigned in this order:

1. Cyclists with a reservation (up to 12 spots per shuttle)
2. Cyclists without a reservation (if any spots remain)
3. Passengers without bikes (also only if spots are available; regular fare applies)

This is a reservation only. Get a day pass for bike transport, easily via südtirolmobil app or directly at Merano station at südtirolmobil ticket vending machines.

Good to know

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure at Merano station, platform B to allow time for bike loading. Late arrivals will result in canceled reservations.

Tickets & Fares

You’ll need two tickets:

1. A valid südtirolmobil ticket or pass (e.g., single ticket, südtirolmobil Pass, or Südtirol Guest Pass)
2. A day pass for bicycles:

• €7.00: day pass for bike transport available at südtirolmobil ticket vending machines or online via app
• €3.50 : reduced fare for südtirolmobil pass holders. The purchase and validation con be done online using the südtirolmobil app
