Annual fee of 20 EUR
The U19 Pass costs 20 EUR per year for anyone who orders or renews it at least one day before their 19th birthday.
Get your first Fix365 order and enjoy U19 at no cost.
Children entitled to U19 (formerly abo+) can renew or order the annual pass together with their parent's annual subscription at no extra cost. This means that the annual fee for the child's U19 card for the 2025/2026 school year is included in the parent's annual subscription fee of 250 EUR.
The U19 can be ordered by anyone who meets the following criteria:
- valid Italian tax code;
- under 19 years of age at the time of application;
- resident of a European Union member state or Switzerland; or they have their habitual residence in the province of Bozen/Bolzano.
For minors, the order for issuance and annual renewal must be made by a parent or legal guardian via their account on the südtirolmobil portal. Young people over the age of 18 can order or renew the U19 from their own account and complete the procedure online.
Please note: an online application cannot be cancelled once submitted.
Before you can order online, you must create a user account. If you are a parent or legal guardian with an existing südtirolmobil account, you can order the U19 for your child directly from your profile.
If you are not yet registered, you must first create an account on the südtirolmobil portal before applying for a U19 Pass.
The U19 is valid for one year until 15 September. Renewal must be completed online before its expiry date by paying the annual fee for the following school year, starting from 16 June each year.
If a U19 Pass is ordered for the first time, it can be used from the 1st of September after payment of the applicable fee. It will then be valid until 15th of September the following year.
You must register every bus and train journey by checking in at the validating machine; otherwise, the ticket will be invalid. To validate your ticket, simply hold your U19 card up to the sensor on the front of the validating machine.
For direct train journeys, you do not need to validate your Pass again at the station where you change trains. Passengers travelling on a regional train south of Trient/Trento towards Bozen/Bolzano with a valid ticket for the journey to Trient/Trento do not need to validate their Pass at Trient/Trento station for the onward journey to South Tyrol.
Innsbruck – Brenner/Brennero and Lienz – Innichen/San Candido railway line: at Innsbruck, Sillian and Lienz stations, you can validate your Pass if it is valid from Brenner/Brennero or Innichen/San Candido stations. A separate ticket must be purchased for the section of the journey that takes place on Austrian railways.
If your U19 card is lost, stolen or damaged, you can request a duplicate for 20 EUR.
If your Pass is not damaged but not working due to a defect or damage to the material, you can request a free reprint from ticket offices.
Duplicates can be requested in the following ways (indicating the desired pick-up point):
- by a parent or guardian via the student's personal online account
- through the school office (in South Tyrol)
- at ticket offices
- at authorised südtirolmobil sales points.
Students attending a school outside South Tyrol and university students can collect the duplicate from an authorised ticket office.
Payment for duplicates If you pay by SEPA Direct Debit, the cost of the duplicate will be included in your next invoice.
You can pay for the duplicate ticket at any südtirolmobil ticket office within 15 days; otherwise, the ticket will be blocked.
The U19 Pass is a personal, non-transferable Pass that must be validated for each journey and must not be given to other people.
If you are aged 14 or over, you must carry proof of identity with you at all times to present to staff on board in the event of an inspection. If you are unable to present your südtirolmobil U19 Pass for any reason (e.g. because you have forgotten or lost it), you must purchase a valid ticket.
In the event of misuse of the südtirolmobil U19 Pass, it will be withdrawn immediately. The competent provincial office will determine the period of withdrawal (from one month to a maximum of one year). During this period, you cannot request a new südtirolmobil U19 Pass or a duplicate.
Additional paid services can be activated on the U19 on request. This will make the ticket either prepaid or postpaid, with the cost deducted directly from your bank account. This allows you to pay for the following:
- bike transport;
- pet transport;
- travel on Nightliner services (at the Nightliner fare);
- travel on regional trains between Brenner/Brennero – Innsbruck and Innichen/San Candido – Lienz (the VVT/ÖBB fare applies on the Austrian railway line). ÖBB Vorteilscard holders can register their card in their online user account to take advantage of the corresponding reduced fare.
Validation: Validation of the U19 Pass with additional services is the same as the normal südtirolmobil Flex Pass. For regional train journeys in particular, it is important to indicate the arrival station code and confirm validation; otherwise, the ticket will not be valid.
