südtirolmobil U26 Pass
There's nothing like starting young. And we'll make sure you get there.
The U26 Pass from südtirolmobil is your personal electronic subscription for everyone under 26. If you live in an EU country or Switzerland, or if you are a resident of the province of Bolzano, have a valid Italian tax number and order the pass at least one day before your 26th birthday, you can get one. With the U26 Pass, you can travel unlimited on all public transport in South Tyrol at a fixed price – including regional trains to Trento, of course.
Please note that the südtirolmobil U26 Pass is not valid on cross-border train services (Brennero/Brenner – Innsbruck and San Candido/Innichen or Versciaco/Vierschach – Lienz), do not include the transport of bikes or pets and can neither be used on Nightliner bus journeys nor on long-distance or high-speed rail services.
You must validate the U26 at the start of each journey.
Remember: if you are checked on the train, you must show not only your pass but also your ID. So always carry it with you!
The U26 pass is available in two versions:
- südtirolmobil Fix365 U26: Annual pass (365 days from date of issue) at a price of 150 euros
- südtirolmobil Fix30 U26: Monthly pass (30 days from date of issue) can be activated online at a price of 20 euros
The U26 is valid for 30 or 365 calendar days and can be activated or purchased online at any time. It is valid from the date of issue until 11:59 p.m. on the last day of validity.
You can order the U26 Pass online and on the Südtirolmobil portal myportal.suedtirolmobil.
- If you already have an account, log in with your email address and password.
- If you have an account but have never used the portal before, log in with your pass number and tax number the first time you use it and then complete your profile.
- If you are a new user, simply register with your email address and personal details.
Every bus and train journey must be registered by validating the pass by holding it up to the sensor in front of the validation machine. If the pass is not validated, it is invalid.
If you are travelling by train, you only need to validate your pass once at the start of your journey, not every time you change trains. This means that if you change trains at the same station, you do not need to validate your pass again.
This also applies to holders of a U26 pass: if you are travelling on a regional train from the south of Trento to Bolzano with a valid ticket to Trento, you do not need to get off the train in Trento or validate your ticket. The ticket you have is valid to Trento, and from there on the U26 pass is automatically used for the onward journey to South Tyrol.
Innsbruck – Brenner and Lienz – Innichen railway line: At Innsbruck, Sillian and Lienz stations, it is possible to validate the pass from Brenner or Innichen station. A separate ticket must be purchased for the part of your journey which takes place on the Austrian territory.
If your südtirolmobil Pass is lost, stolen or damaged, you can request a duplicate for a fee of €20.

The U26 is a personalised subscription that you must validate on every journey and that you may not pass on to other people. In addition to your pass, you must always carry a passport with you, which you must show to train staff in the event of an inspection. If for any reason you are unable to present your U26 (e.g. because you have forgotten or lost it), you must purchase a valid ticket.
If the U26 is misused, it will be confiscated immediately. The competent state authority determines the duration of the confiscation (from one month to a maximum of one year). During this period, you cannot purchase a new U26 or apply for a duplicate.
